Making the most of Change

Turning Points - for employees at a crossroads

The Turning Points programme provides support and challenge in relation to a particular change event – how it can lead to the next stage of growth, how to manage it successfully and how to take greatest learning for the future.

Day one focuses on essential information about success. It is a journey of discovery for participants providing them with a route map to their future success. They learn about:

  • The Life Alignment Curve - the life long process of change and development that we are all engaged in and how to use this to best advantage
  • Their Personal Achiever Style and how they react to challenge, risk and change
  • Core Talent - what it is and why it matters; what their own core talent is; and the impact it makes on confidence and success
  • Mindsets - where they come from; how they work; and how to change the mindsets that get in the way
  • The Success Behaviours - what they are and how to use them to good effect

On Day Two, with all this information, participants take a deep dive into the challenge /opportunity they face. With a small group of peers and a facilitator, each person has the chance to explore their opportunity and look for new ways of approaching it.

At the end of the two days, each person takes away a personal action plan to help them take the next step, whatever that might be.

Follow up day: after six week, the group come back together for Day Three of the programme. This is an opportunity to review progress, extend learning and return to their small learning groups to define those next steps.

This follow on day has huge benefits:

  • Participants share their success and realise how far they have come
  • We can work together on the areas of continuing challenge to understand what is happening
  • Small group relationships develop and support networks are reinforced

"This workshop gave me greater conviction in communicating ideas and arguments - will hopefully lead to more individual and business opportunities"

"The programme follow up was inspirational. I gained needed answers to questions and it helped me re-order priorities."

Benefits to the business:

  • Regain efficiency: when supported, people managing rapid change can still focus on outputs, even when struggling to regain equilibrium. This is a real plus for any changing business.
  • Retain high performers: change is a classic time for losing high performers as they look for greener grass elsewhere. Be a company that helps them manage the process and loyalty and commitment will follow.
  • Release additional talent: the process of exploring Core Talent helps people recognise where they have the potential to shine and encourages them to make the very best of what they have to offer.
